Stagehand Shuffle: Backstage Jam
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 15 October 2026
Last updated: 15 October 2026
1. About this policy
This policy explains how the Android app Stagehand Shuffle: Backstage Jam (package ID: za.co.curtaincall.backstagejam), referred to as “the app,” handles information. It describes the current version of the app, including its offline gameplay and local test unlocks.
2. Information collected and shared
The app does not require an account and does not collect or transmit personal information to developer-operated servers. It does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated crash-reporting services. We do not sell personal information or share gameplay information with advertisers or data brokers.
The app does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, or advertising identifier. It uses device capabilities such as sound playback and optional vibration to provide gameplay feedback.
3. Information stored on your device
The app stores game information locally so that you can continue playing and retain your preferences. This includes:
- Completed puzzles, stars, best move counts, fastest completion times and their dates, and progression.
- An unfinished puzzle and its move history and elapsed play time.
- Music and sound-effect volumes, vibration and reduced-motion preferences.
- Your selected companion, tutorial status, and whether you have viewed the campaign finale.
- Local test-unlock records and the corresponding production access.
- A save timestamp and technical save-format information needed to load progress reliably.
This information is used to operate the game, restore your session, display your achievements within the app, and apply your settings. It is not uploaded to the developer. A companion selection is an in-game preference, not a user profile or account.
4. Network access and purchases
The Android app declares internet access, but its current gameplay, artwork, and music are bundled with the app and can operate offline. The current version does not use a developer backend, download additional packs from a server, or synchronize saves between devices.
Real in-app purchasing is not connected in the version covered by this policy. Clearly labeled test unlocks are local simulations: they do not contact a payment service or charge money. We do not receive payment-card or billing details. If real billing, online services, or additional data collection are introduced, this policy and the relevant store disclosures will be updated before those features are released.
5. Retention, deletion, and your choices
Local game information is retained on your device until it is reset, removed, or replaced. There is no developer-held gameplay database to delete.
- Reset puzzle progress: use Settings → Reset Progress and confirm. This clears puzzle progress and records, including fastest times, while retaining preferences, companion selection, and existing unlock records.
- Remove all local app data: use Android Settings → Apps → Stagehand Shuffle → Storage → Clear storage/Clear data. The exact wording depends on your device. This removes local game information, preferences, and local test unlocks.
- Uninstall: uninstalling normally removes the app’s local data, subject to Android backup and restoration behavior described below.
- Control audio and feedback: set an audio volume to zero to mute it, or change vibration and reduced-motion options in Settings.
6. Android backup and platform services
Android backup is enabled for this app. Depending on your device, operating-system version, Google account, and backup settings, Android or your device provider may back up and later restore app data. We do not operate or receive those backups. Clearing local storage or uninstalling may not remove existing platform backups; manage those through your device or backup-provider settings.
Google Play, Android, and your device manufacturer may independently process installation information, diagnostics, security-scan information, or backups under their own policies and your settings. This policy does not describe data those providers collect independently. See Google’s Privacy Policy for information about Google’s services.
7. Children’s privacy
The app does not ask players to provide their age, name, contact details, or other personal information, and does not provide public chat or user-generated profiles. Its local-only game information is handled as described above regardless of player age. If you believe personal information has been provided to us in connection with the app, please contact us.
8. Security
Game saves are stored in the app’s local storage and rely on Android’s application storage protections. No storage method is completely secure. Access to a shared, unlocked, modified, or compromised device may allow others to access or alter locally stored data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The latest policy will show an updated date. Where required, significant changes will also be communicated within the app or through its store listing.
10. Contact
